Further Education at the NWIFHE

Students from our Senior Department attended the N.W.I.F.H.E. last year for the following courses in which they pursued specific accredited courses:  

Catering City and Guilds Pre-entry Level 1 & 2
Ceramics Assessment and Qualifications Authority
I.C.T. National Skills Profile
Painting/Decorating Assessment and Qualifications Authority
Woodwork Assessment and Qualifications Authority
 

These courses help to give basic training, health and safety, etc, in supporting our students on work placement.  Foyle View School was allocated funding, as part of the VEP package by DENI to fund inter-school work.  Vice- Principals from Foyle View and St Brigid’s College met regularly to plan the progression of Key Stage 5 links.  Foyle View School is now part of the Foyle Learning Partnership, a Senior Management Representative Body exploring new ways of supporting inclusion at Key Stage 4 and 5.  DEL Careers Department provided careers support on interview skills, job knowledge and duties and responsibilities.
