Team
Enterprise
Team
Enterprise is a project that has been running in Foyle View for a
few years. The aim of the project is to help students
understand the world of business. How it runs, who is involved
and the overall profit made from an idea - to designing, producing
and selling.
The
students in Senior 1 have come together and gave their company the
name of 'hands, Feet and Wheels'. They have also been given
job roles such as Director, Manager, Secretary, Marketing Team,
Customer Service and H.R.
After
having a company meeting, we had different ideas to design and make
a product. The ideas came from recycling and saving
money. Using newspapers and glue, we decided to create money
boxes in different shapes e.g. pigs, fish, sheep, cats,
dogs.
The
Team Enterprise programme this year has been very productive for
Senior 1, Hands, Feet and Wheels. e sold our product in Foyle side
shopping centre in february and the competition ended in the
Everglades Hotel with a presentation to the schools involved.
One of our pupils won the Team Enterprise N Ireland Christmas Card
competition. We have also won best team in the Foyleside Trade
Fair.
Further
to this, one of our pupils, Sorcha, won the Young Enterprise NI
founders award of Outstanding Achievement. She was presented
with her prize by Councillor Patricia Logue.
