supported by the regional training unit in structuring school
planning to meet the requirements of Investors in People.

ancillary and allied services level. Significant changes were
made to school practices and the Governors were delighted to see the
school achieving the award in June after a rigorous assessment

Electrical Elephant' There was a showing of the animation at
the Nerve Centre in November, where the pupils involved received
certificates. It was shown just before the Christmas play, and
was very well received by all.

A Foyle
View School Senior pupil was chosen out of more than 400 children to
have her work used on the Mayor's Christmas card, which will be
distributed all around the world.
The
winning card design of an angel interpreted the theme 'Christmas
Spirit of Peace and Reconciliation' and according to the Mayor, the
standard of entries was exceptional.
"Christina's
winning design of an angel was a simple but very captive image which
the judges believed stood out from the rest. It has a
universal theme and is a very positive image and one, says the
Mayor, that I am very happy to have on my Christmas Card."
Christina
visited the Guildhall to be presented with a framed sample of her
winning card, which will be displayed in the school. A
number of other entrants from the school also received certificates
for their entries.
